Can't throw devil horns without raising your pinky

Metro Times was nice enough to throw me another illustration gig for a story about mosh pit etiquette. It's all fun and games until someone gets their liberty spikes smooshed, kids, so let's be careful out there.

Music heals

...or so I'm told, but I can't play a lick. So instead, when Oakwood Hospital wanted some of my drawings as part of a display of local artists at their facility in Dearborn, I contributed these four musically-themed sketches. They were all drawn live at performances I attended over the last few years.

"Quixotic" on a triple-triple!

Doodlin' around on angels vs. devils yet again. Here, the eternal battle is waged on the always contentious Scrabble board.

More museum sketches

In her video "Carrying the Milk,"Marina Abramovic holds a bowlful motionless for several minutes until her hands start to shake from the strain and the milk spills. The tension was obviously getting to some kids who were watching the video at the Detroit Institute of Arts the other night.

Bonus sketch: another one of Barlach's "Avenger," just because I like the piece so much.
